Leonard Besinger was the developer of Meadowdale International Raceway. He envisioned the facility as a world class road racing course, drawing the best professional drivers and cars to race before crowds of hundreds of thousands.

That his dream was not completely fulfilled does not diminish the scope of his vision.  That his creation was flawed in some areas does not diminish the magnitude of his undertaking.
