This is the commonly seen Meadowdale "fat" map. While it is good for locating and naming track features, it is far from accurate as a representation of the course. It is greatly expanded in the east-west direction (north is right). This makes the Little Monza (Greg's Corkscrew) and the sweeper behind the Monza Wall look much longer than they are, and the turn at the top of the Uphill look much tighter than it really is.

Visiting Meadowdale International Raceway
The Route 31 entrance to Raceway Woods nature preserve is located on IL Hwy 31, about 4 miles north of the I-90 tollway, about 1.75 miles north of IL Hwy 72. This gateway to Meadowdale Raceway is now about a half mile north of the old main gate. The entrance is on the west side of the highway. Watch for it. It sneaks up on you.
There is parking for about 20 cars, a shelter and picnic table and a modular restroom. Trails at the back of the picnic area lead to the track.
A new entrance, built in 2005, is on Huntley Road, about one mile west of Route 31. This lot includes provision for horse trailers and the starting point for several equestrian paths.
May 1, 2002 Trail Dedication Ceremony. Students from Dundee-Crown High School, under the direction of ecology instructor Gary Swick, have created a hiking trail that takes you past many interesting parts of the property. The emphasis is more on the current ecological aspects of the property than its racing history, but it makes a wonderful couple of hours. If you also hike the track itself (not covered extensively on the nature hike) you can have a good afternoon's walking workout while having a wonderful time. Click here for pictures.
This track supplied map is a more accurate representation of the actual course layout, though it includes some features that never got off the drawing board.
