New Huntley Road Track Access

There's now an option for visiting the paddock area of the track without climbing the Uphill.  A new parking area and path to the level paddock area inside the "Monza Wall" has been installed by the park districts.

To reach the new carpark, turn west on Huntley Road from Route 31 (the stoplight south of the track). The entrance is on the north (right) side of the road.  It's further than you think, but there's a good sign warning of the upcoming park entrance.

Recognizing the Property's Racing History

Happily, there is some new signage about the active racing history of Meadowdale Raceway  placed near this gate.  It is good to see this recognition of the track history.  Photos supplied from this website are included.

A short walk up a mild hill (at least compared to The Uphill) brings you onto the track surface just north of the Jump, on the portion of the track leading into Doane's Corner.  You can walk north (correct racing direction) to Doane's or south to the sweeping turn that used to be behind the Monza Wall.

A path has been cleared and chips laid over to the the track section that replaced the Monza Wall.  Much of the work to clear the new lot, clear and chip the trails was done by volunteers.  The new signage was all done by volunteers.   Please respect their efforts by taking your trash out with you and not defacing any of their work.

Vandals are a continuing problem at Meadowdale.  If you see and can report any of them to the law, please do.
